Interested in a graduate degree in Sedimentary Basin Studies at WVU?

What to do:

  1. Check out the information posted to my research page and learn more about the kinds of projects that are currently ongoing.

  2. Send me an email to inquire if there will be openings available to new students for the semester you would plan to begin the program.

    • Please use "Prospective Graduate Student" in the subject line.

    • Let me know if a particular research project piques your interest.

    • Specify if you intend to seek a MS or PhD

    • Include a brief resume and copy of your transcript(s) - unofficial transcripts are fine.

  3. Check out the work of my other great colleagues at WVU who study sedimentary rocks, tectonic processes, paleoclimate and/or geochemistry:

    • Kathy Benison

    • James Lamsdell

    • Shikha Sharma

    • Jaime Toro

  4. Learn a bit about the department, the university and Morgantown.

  5. If you decide you are serious about graduate studies at WVU, ask to schedule a zoom meeting with me, or, if feasible, plan a visit to see our department, meet current students and see if our program has what you are looking for.

  6. See if you qualify for any of WVU's fellowships and scholarchips. At this time, most are limited to PhD students who are incoming students.
